Darin Gagner

Darin grew up on a small farm surrounded by cows, sheep, ducks, geese, and turkeys, where they grew alfalfa, berries, and vegetables — but cooking wasn’t a part of his life until he started working in restaurants to support his music habit. He’s worked in an endless series of kitchens, from a Tri-Cities pizza parlor to hotels and high-end restaurants as far away as Maine and as near as the Space Needle and the Chihuly Glass House. He slowly came to realize that teaching, not running a restaurant kitchen, was his true calling — and with his focus on teaching the finer points of technique he fits in (probably better than any of us imagined) with the rest of the ladies at the Pantry.
